Essential Oil Infused Chocolate… AMAZING!

Healthcare makeover

Get ready to taste some of the best chocolate I’ve ever made! I know you’re going to love it as much as I and my guests did!

Last week, I had a really fun event in my home called Make Over Your Medicine Cabinet. This is a powerful and fun class that teaches you how to take your healing from the laboratory based medicine to medicine from nature. doTERRA has the most amazingly effective Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) oils I’ve ever used. I’ve been using them on myself and my patients for several months now, and we’ve all been getting phenomenal results. Please contact me any time if you’d like to learn more about how to use essential oils to create vitality, health, well-being & even abundance in your life.

Anyway, at my essential oil party, (see pic of the lovely ladies present), I made a couple of “snacks” for my guests, Essential Oil Infused Chocolate, and Essential oil infused hummus. They both got rave reviews. Even the facilitator, Aisha, who has tasted many of these chocolates said they were the best she’s ever tasted… Yay! Since the event, many people have been asking me about the recipe, so I thought I would share if with everyone, so here ya go! Enjoy, and please let me know if you’ve tried it and what you think.

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 oz. of semi or bittersweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (preferably organic)
  • 1 stick of butter (preferably organic)
  • cocoa powder for dusting
  • and ~ 10 drops of essential oil (wild orange, peppermint, lavender)

Directions:

1.  Combine chocolate, cream & butter in a glass bowl and set over a pan of boiling water to create a double boiler. Heat & stir until smooth.

2. Add 10 – 15 drops of your favorite essential oil. I made one batch with wild orange to which I added a little vanilla extract too, and my other batch I added peppermint. Both were soooo good!

3. Pour melted chocolate into shallow dish and set in fridge for at least 2 hours.

4. After two hours, you’re ready to shape your chocolate! You can use a melon baller, a spoon, or what I used, a coffee scoop that looked like a melon baller. Simply scrape spoon across the chocolate to “ball” up the chocolate.

5.  Roll Chocolate ball (truffle) in cocoa powder. You can of course get creative and use chopped nuts or powdered sugar too. I liked the cocoa powder, but will try the nuts soon.

6. That is it! You may want to put them back in fridge until ready to serve. I hope you like this recipe, try it out, I bet it will be a hit.

Please remember that if you make this recipe, try to use only essential oils like doTERRA that you can consume internally and are Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade free of all pesticides and certainly no synthetic anything.
