It seems like I’ve been going non-stop like a little energizer bunny lately. I just got back from a very exciting event in Santa Monica that was a blast but also a little nerve wracking, as part of it (interviewing with media panelists at my mentor Lisa Elia’s Meet the Media Day  stretched me and took me out of my comfort zone). I’d been working like crazy up until the moment I left for my trip, preparing for the weekend,  seeing patients and clients, and preparing for my upcoming HUGE tele-summit that is coming right up next Tuesday, PLUS,  I moved!

Over the weekend I did get to visit with some dear friends, and also got to meet amazing entrepreneurs, many who will be on my tele-summit (See picture here of Jenn August and Christina Morassi)

I returned Tuesday at noon and went straight back to work. Some time mid-afternoon, about 2:30 or 3:00, my energy simply hit the wall. I felt exhausted! That’s when I had to reach in my bag of tricks and think what is something I do that helps me revitalize my energy.

Here are 3 of my TOP TIPS for BOOSTING my afternoon slump!

  1. If you’ve sitting at your desk all day, get your butt up and take a brisk walk. get some blood and qi (life force energy) flowing through your body. Shake your body around, jump up and down, do what ever you like to get the energy in your body out of that stagnant state!
  2. Drink a large glass of water! How much water have you had today? I bet if you think about it, you have NOT had hardly any water all day, and it’s likely you’re dehydrated! That will make anyone feel tired!
  3. If you really feel like you need a little caffeine, try drinking a cup of green tea! My absolute favorite is Yogi Super-anti-oxidant Green Tea.
BONUS TIP: Take a power nap! I am telling you, if I take a 15-20 minute power nap at 2:00 p.m., my energy soars for the rest of the day until bed time! I am a big fan of the nap! But don’t sleep too long, that will just mess up your sleep that night.
Next time you feel your energy tanking, try one of these tips, leave a comment and let me know how it works for you!
